There’s nothing like a glass of vino. There’s even nothing-er like a glass of vino paired with just the right dish, occasion or state of mind. Here are some of my favorites, no matter your mood or your tastes. Bonus alert! Use code NEIL10 for $10 off your purchase on Minibar. Boom. And cheers.

Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio
Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio

I love this wine. Such a crowd-pleaser. It’s dry, crisp and elegant. It tastes great with food, but also can stand alone. (Coincidentally, my sense of humor has been called dry, and I too can stand alone, all by myself.) I can’t wait to drink this bottle, al fresco on a breezy summer day… Paging Mother Nature. (Wait. Pagers don’t exist anymore. Guess I’ll @ her on Instagram instead.)

Feudi di San Gregorio Falanghina
Feudi di San Gregorio Falanghina

I was recently at an Italian spot in Louisville and ordered this bottle to pair with an olive-oil poached bass and the restaurant’s veggie-forward sides. It was truly a perfect pairing and such a beautiful wine with balanced floral notes, as well as light fruit and citrus flavors. I snagged another bottle when I saw it the next weekend — I can’t get enough.

Domaine Glinavos Paleokerisio
Domaine Glinavos Paleokerisio

This orange wine from Greece is incredible. I discovered it a few years ago popping bottles at my birthday dinner, and it’s truly one of the most celebratory and affordable bottles out there. It has beautiful bready Champagne vibes with just the right amount of fruit.

Lini 910 Labrusca Lambrusco Rosso
Lini 910 Labrusca Lambrusco Rosso

Lambrusco has had a bad reputation for a long time. I’m not quite sure why, but the Wondercade wine wizards tell me that’s the case, and I trust them. Though not after they’ve been tasting a bunch of bottles. Ironically, it was after a recent tasting that they raved about Lini 910, which wowed them with juicy berry notes and vivacious bubbles and a brilliant minerality. Can’t wait to try it. You?

Masciarelli Montepulciano d’Abruzzo
Masciarelli Montepulciano d’Abruzzo

This wine is just wonderful. It’s juicy with tons of dark fruit and balanced tannins. You don’t even need food to fully enjoy it — simply pour yourself a glass while hanging with friends or curling up for movie night

Famille Perrin Reserve Cotes du Rhone Rouge
Famille Perrin Reserve Cotes du Rhone Rouge

It’s hard to believe that this wine is sold at such an affordable price point. The blend of Grenache and Syrah is elegant, bursting with dark fruits and the perfect amount of spiciness.
